How did the Summer Internship with us help you to decide what you want to do after your studies?
"My Summer Internship in UBS Group Operations in 2014 was an eye-opening experience and provided me not only with a taste of working in an investment bank but also the opportunity to understand how a bulge-bracket bank organizes itself. It was a well-structured program that allowed interns to gain exposure to top professionals in this industry. I appreciated the on-the-job guidance from seniors as well as advice from leaders from different divisions through sharing and networking sessions organized for interns. For a student without much experience, it was definitely one of the most rewarding summers I have ever had. I had plenty of learning opportunities and leaders to look up to. They are the reasons why I would like to return to UBS and pursue my long-term career."

How does a typical day look like for you (if there is one)?
"Research analysts start the day by presenting their latest investment ideas to sales and trading colleagues. Afterwards, we call investors to pitch them our latest stock or industry view. During the day, we respond to client' enquiries and work on various research projects. However, research is not only about modelling and report writing, we also talk to investors, maintain a good relationship with the corporates, and play key roles in the IPO process."

What has been the most memorable experience during your Graduate Talent Program (GTP)?
"My short-term assignment to Singapore is certainly at the top of my list. During my GTP program, I was given the opportunity to work in the UBS Singapore office for 3 months. It was an invaluable experience to work in a place with a very different market dynamic and cultural background in such an early stage of my career. Working in a different setting expanded my horizons and trained me to adapt to different cultures and environments."
Flora Sun – Group Technology
"There's no such thing as a typical day as managing an IT project is like firefighting. Although there are some routine tasks, most of my day is closely tied to the status of the project. Having a thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the ability to tailor with flexibility are critical. Quite a number of calls with multiple stakeholders are expected. It all boils down to joining the dots and making informed decisions in project delivery."
