There are a range of vital skills and tools that you will be required to know prior to and during your international internship. We run a full day training immersion in Australia prior to departure, as well as an in-country induction and series of workshops overseas. If you are based beyond Australia, you will be able to participate in the pre-departure training digitally through a series of online videos and readings.
Our pre-departure training is specially designed to give you a taste of how our venture development works using the Lean Start-Up methodology, as well as arming you with a range of important safety and security information. You’ll learn business and design thinking principles, communication strategies, basic crisis management, as well as more about who we are and why we’re so passionate about international development. You’ll also learn how to make the most of your internship with us through a program we call Project X, formalising your experience with us to increase your graduate employability and holistic skill-set.
In the lead up to your departure, you will be guided by your Senior Leaders, Team Leaders and our Training and Operations team, through the required administration requirements and information. Your leaders will continue your training during in-country Induction, and workshops to support your personal and professional development, and your business experience through the growth and guidance of your venture.
Upon the successful completion your internship, we offer a range of pathway opportunities for further personal and professional development. Opportunities include Experienced Trekking, Leadership Training, Business Development Training, Consulting and Project Development Teams, Sales and Recruitment Training, and Senior Leadership training. You may apply for these opportunities through both written assessments and interviews and will be based upon your assessment results and quality of your performance throughout the internship.
